Oscar Orellana

Founder | Principal

Oscar Orellana is the Founder and Principal of PediaMind Search Partners, LLC, where he utilizes a search fund model specifically for the pediatric behavioral health sector. He began his career by overseeing multi-million-dollar turnaround projects for major oil and gas companies, focusing on health and safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver results on time and within budget.

Building on this operational foundation, Oscar later launched a corporate development firm in South Florida aimed at supporting small behavioral health practices. He guided clinic integrations, optimized insurance contracting, designed new clinical programs, and executed strategic acquisitions to drive sustainable growth.

These experiences taught him how to identify operational inefficiencies, establish strong partnerships with clinic owners, and scale service-based businesses. He now applies these insights to PediaMind’s search fund strategy, where he seeks out founder-led clinics with clear growth potential and leads them through a disciplined acquisition and integration process.

Oscar holds a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business Management from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he specialized in Corporate Finance and Healthcare M&A. He lives in New York City with his partner and, in his free time, enjoys expanding his professional network, exploring fine wines, and engaging with contemporary and classical art.
